First generation auctioneer who specializes in benefit auctions and consulting with groups and organization on maximizing their auction results. He also sells both personal property and real estate at auction for clients in Ohio and around the Midwest. He is an Auctioneer and Appraiser at Belhorn Auction Services, LLC a Columbus based auction company that conducts specialty and online auctions of American Art Pottery and other valuable collections. He also works as a contract auctioneer for numerous Midwest auction companies. In addition he represents both buyers and seller in traditional and auction real estate transactions as an agent of the Brown Company Real Estate. Gehres is the assistant auction manger for The Super Auction, a biannual auction that brings together auction companies from across the Midwest for an unique event.
Gehres teaches at The Ohio Auction School and Reppert School of Auctioneering and is the owner of Auctions on Track an auction education, leadership training and motivation company that presents auction education and motivational programs to state auctioneers associations as well as other businesses and groups and continuing educational classes.
Gehres is a 2006 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural and studies in Agricultural Engineering and Economics. Gehres is also a graduate of The Ohio Auction School and Hondros College (Real Estate). He has earned the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation which is the highest education recognition in the auction industry. In addition he earned the Certified Estate Specialist (CES)
Gehres was born in Rural Northwest Ohio in Van Wert County and grew on the family farm which has been in continuous operation since 1875 and which Gehres still manages. He is married and lives in Hilliard, Ohio a suburb of Columbus.
